The Part time Plumbing instructor will teach in the evenings and/or on a weekend if needed.
- Provides classroom and hands-on plumbing instruction using NCCER curriculum.
- Prepares instructional materials and delivers instruction using a variety of methods appropriate for adult learners.
- Maintains accurate attendance, grade, assessment, and student performance records.
- Administers and proctors online assessments in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitors student attendance and follows up regarding absences as appropriate.
- Promotes and maintains a safe, clean, and organized classroom and lab/shop environment.
- Ensures the appropriate use of tools, equipment, materials, and personal protective equipment.
- Monitors plumbing tools, equipment, and supply inventory and notifies the Senior Director of purchasing or replacement needs.
- Reviews and follows the Continuing Education Instructor Guide and applicable college policies and procedures.
- Meets periodically with the Senior Director to discuss class schedules, course outlines, student progress, special needs, and required materials.
- Submits signed, completed rosters, student signature sheets, and other required course documentation at the conclusion of each course.

- Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience as a plumber.
- Knowledge of residential, commercial, and/or industrial plumbing standards and best practices.
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use online testing and electronic recordkeeping systems.
- Ability and willingness to successfully complete required NCCER instructor training before receiving a teaching assignment.

Preferred education and experience:- Current NCCER instructor or trainer credential; verify the exact credential title.
- Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience.
- Relevant plumbing license or industry credential, if desired by the program.
