The role

The Core Marketing Technology Lead is accountable for the end-to-end ownership, delivery, and lifecycle management of the organization’s core marketing technology platforms. This includes PXM and Artwork systems, alongside Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, Salesforce Data Cloud, and Salesforce Service Cloud, as well as integrated applications across these processes, forming a connected ecosystem that supports omnichannel consumer engagement and marketing operations. The role will operate initially within a global transformation context, overseeing the evolution and scaling of marketing platforms while ensuring continuity of live services. As capabilities are deployed and embedded, the role will transition into steady state Business as Usual (BAU) ownership, retaining accountability for platform performance, roadmap execution, and long-term value realisation. This is a role requiring a strong balance of strategic thinking, hands on delivery understanding, vendor leadership, and trusted business partnership.


What you'll be responsible for

Platform Ownership, Strategy & Governance

• Own and manage marketing technology platforms end-to-end (PXM, Artwork Management, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Service Cloud), including lifecycle management, solution design, integration, operations, and continuous improvement. Define and maintain the technology roadmap aligned to business strategy while ensuring platforms meet security, privacy, compliance, and architectural governance standards.

Stakeholder Partnership, Data & Customer Experience Enablement

• Act as a key partner to Marketing, Digital, CRM, and CX teams, translating business needs into scalable technology solutions and ensuring effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Enable integrated use of customer and product data to drive personalisation, campaign execution, insights, and seamless end-to-end customer experiences.

Transformation Delivery, Operations & Vendor Management

• Manage the balance between BAU operations and transformation initiatives, ensuring stable platform performance while delivering phased enhancements and new capabilities. Lead vendor and system integrator relationships, ensuring quality delivery, alignment to architecture standards, and long-term platform sustainability while building internal capability through best practices and enablement.

We're looking for someone who

Skills & Experience

Essential

•  10+ years’ experience in enterprise IT, including ownership of customer or marketing facing platforms

•  Strong experience managing Salesforce based ecosystems (Marketing, Data, and/or Service Cloud)

•  Proven track record of end-to-end technology ownership across build, delivery, and BAU

•  Excellent stakeholder management and vendor leadership skills

Desirable

•  Experience with PIM, Artwork Management, DAM

•  Experience supporting large scale marketing or consumer transformation programmes

•  FMCG, retail, or consumer centric industry experience
