This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, mitigates financial crime risks, and supports operational excellence within the KYC Operations Centre. The Associate will handle standard cases, escalate complex issues, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high standards of compliance and client service.

Summary:
The Associate KYC Analyst is responsible for conducting Know Your Customer (KYC) due diligence and anti-money laundering (AML) checks for new and existing clients. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, mitigates financial crime risks, and supports operational excellence within the KYC Operations Centre. The Associate will handle standard cases, escalate complex issues, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high standards of compliance and client service.
Qualifications /Certifications required:
· Legal degree (LLB) with experience in regulatory compliance, governance, or legal operations.
· Relevant AML / regulatory compliance officer certification (e.g., CAMS, CFE, ACAMS) preferred.
· Strong understanding of KYC/AML regulations and best practices.
Experience required:
· 1-2 years’ experience in KYC, AML, or compliance roles, preferably within a professional services or financial services environment.
· Experience handling complex due diligence cases and regulatory reporting. · Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional KYC/AML requirements and client onboarding processes.
Responsibilities of role:
· Perform KYC verification checks for new and existing clients, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
· Collect information from internal systems and external sources (e.g., registries, regulatory websites).
· Conduct screening checks to identify PEPs, sanctions, and adverse information.
· Flag and escalate potential risks or incomplete information to SMEs.
· Liaise with engagement teams to request missing or clarifying documentation.
· Maintain accurate records of KYC findings and ensure timely completion of profiles.
· Follow established procedures and contribute to maintaining quality standards.
· Stay current with changes in KYC/AML regulations and industry standards.
Desirable skill sets include:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
· High attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and KYC/compliance software.
