Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Authorization in Lockport, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-control protocols.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document incidents, access-control concerns, and daily activities clearly and promptly using required reporting systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
