Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

 

Job Objective

To supervise and guide subordinates to ensure the smooth running of daily operations, manage fund order placements, handle reconciliations, and participate in system enhancements and project initiatives within Technology and Operations.

 

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Head to supervise and guide subordinates to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
• Perform fund order placement (subscription, switching, redemption).
• Check general ledger and transaction input.
• Liaise with auditors on fund audit work.
• Check to ensure subscription and redemption records are properly updated in the system.
• Handle enquiries from fund managers in an efficient manner.
• Check to ensure stock and cash reconciliation and ensure fees and expenses are properly accrued.
• Adhere to operating procedures, and comply with company requirements, regulatory requirements (e.g., HKMA, MAS, etc.), and Audit / Risk Management guidelines pertaining to operations.
• Report any suspicious / outstanding transactions or incidents to the Team Head, Department Head, and other relevant parties for necessary action per the Incident Management Policy.
• Participate in user acceptance testing and live verification for system enhancements, review business requirements and functional specifications, prepare test cases, and conduct testing.
• Participate in project initiatives and business development, e.g., customer implementation, business continuity management, review of operational procedures, policies and guidelines, and specific job-related training.
• Handle regular and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Team Head and Department Head.

 

Job Requirements

• University Graduate or above in Business or related disciplines.
• Sound experience in banking operations and practices.
• Familiarity with market trends and new product/system developments in the local and foreign fund markets.
• Self-motivated with a strong analytical mind and creative thinking.
• Able to build effective teamwork within the section and co-operate in a harmonious and productive manner with superiors.
• Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and negotiation techniques.
• Good team player, supportive, and flexible in taking up departmental tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and command of English and Chinese (both spoken & written).
• Good presentation skills and knowledge in MS Office.
