Description

Robbins Lumber, Inc., a sixth-generation, family-owned lumber manufacturer established in 1881, is seeking an energetic, motivated, and outgoing Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team at our Searsmont, Maine location.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who enjoys building relationships, pursuing new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have previous sales experience, preferably in the lumber industry, and the drive to help grow our customer base and expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities to expand our customer base.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Promote and sell our lumber products.
• Respond to customer inquiries, prepare quotes, process orders, and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Work closely with our sales, production, and shipping teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Attend industry trade shows and occasionally travel to visit customers and develop new business relationships.
• Maintain a strong understanding of our products, pricing, inventory, and market conditions.
• Contribute ideas and strategies to increase sales and strengthen our market position.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience required; lumber industry experience strongly preferred.
• Outgoing, confident, and personable, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and enthusiastic about generating new business.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customers and priorities.
• Comfortable using computers and learning sales and inventory management systems.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative sales team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits and industry trade shows.

This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Searsmont, Maine office. Occasional travel is required.

 Pay range potential over career $65,000-$110,000/year. Starting pay will be dependent upon experience.
