Systems Engineer (Requirements & Acceptance) �� Barrow-in-Furness, BAE Systems�� 1-2 days on site per month �� 12-Month Contract �� £50.00 per hour PAYE or £67.47 per hour UmbrellaI'm working with BAE Systems on an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer – Systems Engineering (Requirements & Acceptance) to support the Dreadnought Active Vehicle Control Functional Software Team. This role sits at the forefront of complex engineering development, helping to define, validate and verify software requirements through a Model-Based Design approach. You'll be developing and validating behavioural simulation models and supporting systems that enable stakeholder acceptance of critical software functionality. What you'll be doing: ✅ Developing and validating models of plant and interfacing systems ✅ Supporting the specification, verification and validation of AVC application software requirements ✅ Creating simulation models to test product performance and behaviour ✅ Working within a Model-Based Design environment using MATLAB & Simulink ✅ Collaborating within Agile delivery teams using Jira, Git and Bitbucket Key skills required: ✔ Strong Simulink experience (essential) ✔ Experience with Model-Based Design and dynamic system modelling ✔ Knowledge of control systems, hydraulic systems, mechanical systems or similar engineering domains ✔ Experience from highly regulated sectors such as Defence, Aerospace, Automotive or Marine ✔ Understanding of standards such as ARP4754 and/or DO-178 (desirable) ✔ Knowledge of version control, continuous integration and branch/merge strategies (desirable) ✔ Experience with the Atlassian toolset including Jira and Bitbucket (desirable) If you're interested in applying or would like to discuss the opportunity in more detail, please get in touch. #SystemsEngineering #Simulink #ModelBasedDesign #DefenceJobs #BAESystems #EngineeringJobs #ContractJobs #Matlab #RequirementsEngineering #VerificationAndValidation
