Job Description

About the Role:

In this Senior Manager level role, you will help shape and deliver the evidence generation strategy for Italy and Greece. You will play a key role in identifying local evidence gaps and translating them into scientifically rigorous, feasible, patient-focused, and compliant research plans. As part of the Global Evidence Generation organization, you will connect local medical and healthcare needs with regional and global evidence priorities, helping inform research plans and investment decisions. Your work will contribute to high-quality peri-approval and post-approval research, including real-world evidence, observational research, database studies, and investigator-initiated research. Through scientific leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and innovative approaches, you will strengthen evidence generation, synthesis, and portfolio decision-making while supporting consistent standards and meaningful research outcomes across Italy and Greece.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Lead evidence strategy development by identifying and prioritizing local evidence gaps and translating them into scientifically robust, feasible research plans.
  • Guide studies throughout their lifecycle from concept and protocol development through execution, analysis, reporting, closeout, and dissemination.
  • Align local and global priorities by representing Italy and Greece evidence needs in regional and global planning and governance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery with medical, research, regulatory, access, data, legal, compliance, procurement, and finance partners.
  • Manage external research partners against agreed expectations for scope, quality, budget, and timelines.
  • Oversee portfolio planning and performance by prioritizing activities, forecasting budgets, monitoring progress, and escalating material risks or variances.
  • Apply innovative research approaches using digital tools, advanced analytics, data visualization, and artificial intelligence-enabled tools to support planning and decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine, pharmacy, life sciences, public health, epidemiology, health economics, or a related field.
  • Eight to ten years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare research, academia, or a related environment.
  • Experience owning evidence generation strategy and leading or overseeing observational, database, real-world evidence, or other medical research studies.
  • Strong knowledge of research methods, good research practices, and applicable ethical and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to translate medical and healthcare questions into clear evidence needs and executable research plans.
  • Demonstrated project, portfolio, vendor, and budget management skills across multiple complex studies and priorities.
  • Strong scientific judgment, stakeholder influence, written and verbal communication, facilitation, presentation, and professional English-language skills.
