SAP FS-CD Functional Consultant

Mission Overview:

We are seeking an SAP FS-CD Functional Consultant for a consultancy mission at a client site, representing Keystone Solutions. This critical hybrid role involves the end-to-end design, configuration, and support of the SAP subledger (FS-CD) module. The position requires an in-depth understanding of collections & disbursement processing, general financial accounting knowledge, and expert SAP FS-CD configuration to deliver efficient, customized claims solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse insurance business requirements related to collections, payments, receivables, disbursements, and account management.
• Conduct workshops with business stakeholders and process owners.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and SAP solution designs.
• Analyse gaps between standard SAP FS-CD functionality and business requirements.
• Recommend standard SAP functionality wherever appropriate and minimize unnecessary custom developments.
• Configure and maintain SAP FS-CD functionality covering all functional areas.
• Configure and setup proper SAP FI-CO integration.
• Document business processes, functional requirements, configuration decisions, and solution designs.
• Define functional requirements for interfaces between FS-CD and other SAP or non-SAP solutions.
• Specify posting and accounting requirements.
• Work with technical teams on interfaces, enhancements, APIs, jobs, and data flows.
• Analyse integration errors and determine whether the root cause is business data, configuration, interface logic, or custom development.
• Support end-to-end reconciliation between source applications, FS-CD, and financial accounting.
• Design and document detailed functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF).
• Conduct unit, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and provide comprehensive training and documentation.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Expert knowledge of the FS-CD functional architecture.
• Proficiency in configuring the subledger Process Model and defining G/L integration into SAP FI-CO.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Minimum of 4 years of dedicated, hands-on experience in implementing and supporting SAP FS-CD.
• Strong expertise in SAP Core Insurance system integration (FS-PM, FS-CM, FS-ICM, etc.).
• Strong understanding of collection & payment processes across at least one major insurance line (P&C/Non-Life, Health, or Auto).

Language:

• Good English.
• Nice to have French.
