AvaMed Workforce is hiring a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) for a day-shift contract at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, CA (Medical, 8-hour shifts).
Assignment details
- Location: Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility (RJD), San Diego, CA
- Dates: 11/30/2026 - 03/28/2027 (4 months)
- Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM (8-hour shifts, 30-min meal)
- Orientation: 2 weeks

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing and psychiatric care to incarcerated patients
- Give medications and treatments and document care accurately
- Follow all safety, security and contraband procedures
Requirements
- Active California LPT license (BVNPT)
- Current BLS (AHA)
- Correctional or behavioral health experience preferred
- Background check and facility security clearance
- TB test, immunizations and facility health clearances
