Shipping/Receiving Clerk – 2nd Shift

Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–8:00 PM
Overtime: Mandatory as needed

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse and distribution team. This is an important position responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate trailer and load records, communicating with carriers and drivers, and ensuring shipments are processed safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule inbound and outbound load appointments via email.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date list of all trailers on the yard.
• Coordinate with yard jockeys to ensure work is consistently available at the appropriate dock doors.
• Process all inbound, outbound, and sort transactions using RedLink.
• Communicate with carriers to ensure loads are picked up and delivered on schedule.
• Review inbound paperwork for accuracy and ensure the security and proper documentation of loads.
• Identify, clean, or report contamination and potential food safety issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipping and receiving activities.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse employees, and other departments.
• Follow all company safety, quality, food safety, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous shipping, receiving, transportation, logistics, or warehouse experience is required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with drivers, carriers, coworkers, and management.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work history are essential.
• Ability to work overtime when required.

Work Environment
