Description
For our busy dental practice, we’re looking for a dental assistant. You’ll assist with patient preparation, sterilization of tools, room setup, and some dental hygiene activities. You should have a dental x-ray certification and provide excellent patient care to succeed in this position.Dental assistants should be well-organized and meticulous in their work. You should be able to follow directions and adhere to the rules of the dental practice. We want you to be capable of delivering direct or indirect patient care and ensuring that office procedures run smoothly.Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:Welcome customers to the dental officePrepare customers for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfortSelect and set up instruments, equipment and materials neededSterilize instruments according to regulationsAssist the dentist through 4-handed dentistryUndertake lab tasks as instructedProvide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructionsKeep the dental room clean and well-stockedSchedule appointmentsMaintain accurate patient records and assist with payment proceduresWhen necessary, assist dentists in the management of medical and dental emergenciesMaking sure medical and dental histories, as well as patient vital signs, are gathered and recordedMaintain dental equipment inventory and order dental suppliesDental Assistant Requirements:Proven experience as a dental assistantKnowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methodsUnderstanding of health and safety regulationsAbility to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plusGood computer skillsExcellent communication and people skillsStrong attention to detailMust be well-organized and reliableHigh school diplomaGraduate of a dental assistant school is preferredCompetitive Pay: $20-27 /hour (Based on experience and skill level)Schedule: Flexible scheduling (Full-Time or Part-Time options available)Benefits: Paid Time Off (PTO), 401(k) with company match, and Continuing Education (CE) allowance.Modern Office: Work with state-of-the-art digital technology in a comfortable, well-equipped clinic.
