Overview

Fleet Feet is looking for a passionate, community-focused Community Outreach Coordinator to lead local marketing initiatives, foster meaningful relationships, and drive customer engagement through creative events and strategic partnerships. In this role, you'll play a vital part in growing our brand, acquiring new customers, and ensuring our store remains a hub for the local fitness and running community.

The Community Outreach Coordinator — Medical Marketing is responsible for developing and maintaining Fleet Feet’s relationships with medical providers throughout the Sacramento market, including Sacramento, Roseville, Davis, Folsom, and Elk Grove. This role serves as the primary connection between Fleet Feet and healthcare professionals such as podiatrists, physical therapists, orthopedists, chiropractors, athletic trainers, and sports medicine providers.

This person should be professional, organized, confident, highly social, and comfortable walking into medical offices to start conversations with new people. The role requires a strong mix of relationship-building, follow-through, event planning, data tracking, and internal staff support.

The primary goal of this role is to make Fleet Feet the trusted referral destination for providers whose patients need shoes, insoles, socks, compression, recovery tools, and a full-service fitting experience. The coordinator will spend time each week visiting providers, researching new opportunities, maintaining a provider database, following up with referral sources, coordinating medical events, working with vendors, and supporting store teams so referred customers receive a consistent and professional experience.

Because this is one full-time person supporting five locations, the role should use a territory rotation model. Sacramento and Roseville should receive equal priority as co-primary markets, while Davis, Folsom, and Elk Grove receive consistent monthly support through rotating field visits, provider follow-up, and periodic medical activations. This distribution between stores is based on currently-available partnership opportunities and may change over time.

Success in this role depends on building trust with providers, supporting their recommendations, educating them on Fleet Feet’s services and product solutions, and ensuring their patients are well cared for once they arrive in-store.
