CME allowance $3000 +  40 hours dedicated CME time (based on FTE status)

What You Will Do

This is an exceptional opportunity for an Adult focused Palliative Care Physician to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

 

• Join a growing and collegial team 
• Call structure: 1 night/week, 1 weekend/month
• Practice setting: Inpatient
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Palliative Care Medicine
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
• Schedule can be flexible (5- 8hr days, or 4- 10hr days), no nights or weekendsrequired
• Manage complex pain and distressing symptoms, providing comprehensive psychosocial and spiritual support to elevate the patient's and family's quality of life.
• Lead collaborative efforts with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure seamless coordination and holistic care throughout the patient's illness journey.
• Provide timely inpatient consultation services and lead patient rounds, defining clear goals of care to guide critical clinical decision-making.
• Develop proactive and personalized discharge and transition plans (including hospice), ensuring continuity of evidence-based medical practice.

• Level 1 Trauma Center
• Serves diverse, statewide population primarily focusing on Marion County while acting as a referral center for all 92 Indiana counties.

• As a Level 1 Trauma Center, leading Cardiovascular, Stroke and Oncology programs, we work withexceptional, highly skilled clinicians to provide the best, most appropriate care to patients with complexdiagnoses.
• We are also able to ensure a continuum of care through partnerships with community-basedspecialists, PCPs, Palliative Care teams and Hospice.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
