As a Security Officer Experienced Patrol Officer in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors, campus contacts, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and follow site protocols for reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Support a welcoming campus environment by providing directions, answering questions, documenting routine activities, and assisting with security-related requests in accordance with Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be 21 or more years of age.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Be able to ride a bike for long periods of time, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
