Customer Support Technician (Contract, On Site)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
New Iron is seeking a Customer Support Technician to support mechanical assembly, installation prep, and movement of semiconductor equipment and components in a customer fab environment.
This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. Entry Level applicants are encouraged to apply!
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly and subassembly of equipment, modules, and components
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to complete assigned work
- Read and follow work instructions, engineering drawings, procedures, and checklists
- Support equipment staging, installation preparation, material movement, and site readiness
- Assist with equipment leveling, alignment, and basic mechanical adjustments
- Verify component quality and flag discrepancies or defects
- Follow all EHS requirements and work collaboratively with manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and field teams
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude; experience with hand tools and basic measuring equipment
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials consistent with the role
Preferred
- Semiconductor manufacturing or semiconductor equipment experience
- Equipment installation or manufacturing-build support
- Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, or electro-mechanical assemblies
- Familiarity with Lean / continuous improvement practices
