SALES COORDINATOR & FRONT DESK SUPPORT
REPORTS TO: Director of Sales | Front Desk Supervisor
Residence Inn Columbus Downtown is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Sales Coordinator & Front Desk Support Team Member to join our team at our newly renovated, extended-stay property in the historic Buckeye Bank Building in downtown Columbus. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Input all groups into the reservation system
- Input and update all rooming lists
- Set up group and preferred account routing to ensure accurate billing
- Build house accounts for meeting rooms and group blocks
- Ensure credit cards are on file and authorize them the week prior to the event
- Act as the on-site contact for site tours and large group arrivals as needed
- Manage incoming calls and emails for group updates, changes, and requests
- Perform front desk duties, including but not limited to guest check-in, in-house guest review, housekeeping support, guest check-out and folio review, and guest inquiries and requests
- Work approximately 20 hours per week in sales support functions and 20 hours per week in front desk support functions
- Some evening and weekend shifts required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand during front desk shifts
- Availability for some evening and weekend shifts
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: (Not Required for Application)
- Two years of hotel experience
- Previous catering, sales, or customer service-related experience
