Description
Roboyo AI is a category shaper in Applied AI and Agentic Automation. We help leading enterprises move from automation projects and AI experiments into governed, production-grade systems that execute real work across workflows, processes, products and services.
Our heritage is in scaled enterprise automation; our future is Applied AI and Agentic Automation: autonomous agents, AI engineering squads, process orchestration, data and knowledge foundations, and human-in-the-loop governance embedded deeply into how our clients operate.
We are not here to sell AI theatre. We are here to turn AI into working systems, measurable outcomes and repeatable transformation programs.
About the role
This is an end-to-end ownership role. The Senior Business Analyst (BSA) is accountable for the business-facing thread of an automation or AI initiative from first stakeholder conversation to post-production stabilisation. You will run process discovery and feasibility assessment, define and baseline requirements, partner with architects and developers through build, own functional and user acceptance testing, support go-live and hypercare, and hand over a fully documented, measurable solution to the client and support teams. You are expected to operate independently on complex processes, mentor junior analysts, and be the person the client trusts to tell them what is genuinely automatable and what is not.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structured discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, job shadowing and process walkthroughs with business SMEs to capture the true operating process, including exceptions, workarounds and undocumented tribal knowledge.
- Perform automation feasibility and complexity assessment; qualify or disqualify candidate processes against standardisation, rule-clarity, volume, stability and data-quality criteria, and have the confidence to recommend against automation where the business case does not hold.
- Build the business case: quantify AS-IS effort, volumes, FTE cost, error rates and cycle times; model expected benefit, ROI, payback period and effort estimate, and present it to client sponsors for funding approval.
- Capture process metrics and prepare the Process Qualification / Assessment output, including pipeline prioritisation where multiple candidates compete for the same delivery capacity.
- Use Process Mining and Task Mining outputs where available to validate stated process behaviour against actual system event data, rather than relying solely on stakeholder recall.
- Conduct deep-dive "As-Is" analysis to design optimized "To-Be" states, ensuring processes are not just automated, but architected for peak efficiency.
- Author comprehensive Process Design Documents (PDDs) and partner on Solution Designs (SDDs) to ensure absolute logic clarity and traceability.
- Produce end-to-end process maps and flow diagrams (BPMN / Visio / Lucid), covering the happy path, every business exception, every system exception and the defined handling for each.
- Define and baseline detailed functional and non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria, business rules, data dictionaries, input/output specifications and in-scope / out-of-scope boundaries; drive formal sign-off from the process owner before build begins.
- Own the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) so that every requirement is traceable through design, build, test case and production release.
- Identify and document the AS-IS to TO-BE process re-engineering opportunities, eliminating waste before automating rather than automating an inefficient process as-is.
- Contribute to pre-sales and solutioning activity - discovery for prospects, effort estimation and proposal input - where the account requires it.
Deliverables Owned by This Role
- Process Assessment / Qualification Document and automation business case with ROI model.
- As-Is and To-Be process maps and detailed process flow diagrams.
- Process Definition Document (PDD) and contribution to the Solution Design Document (SDD).
- Functional and non-functional requirements specification with acceptance criteria and business rules.
- Test strategy, test scenarios, test cases, UAT pack and signed UAT closure report.
- Exception handling and business continuity procedure.
- End-user training material, SOPs and user guides.
- Support runbook, escalation matrix and knowledge-transfer pack for handover.
- Post-implementation benefit realisation report.
Must Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience with a dedicated focus on Intelligent Automation, RPA (e.g., UiPath), or AI-driven application engineering, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead analyst capacity.
- Proven understanding of modern AI architectures, with the ability to design workflows that incorporate LLMs, API integrations, and unstructured data processing.
- Demonstrable expertise in authoring rigorous PDDs and collaborating on SDDs with strict traceability.
- Strong track record operating within Agile frameworks, serving as the definitive translation layer between executive business stakeholders and technical engineering pods.
- Migration Fluency: Specific exposure to UiPath and/or Blue Prism.
- Demonstrated end-to-end SDLC ownership: evidence of personally carrying at least three automation or AI initiatives from discovery through production deployment and hypercare, not only the documentation phase.
Strong Plus:
- UiPath Certified Professional Business Analyst (UiBPA).
- Domain depth in Banking and Financial Services, particularly regulated processes with audit and control requirements.
