What You Will Do

As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will play a key role in the design, manufacture, integration, and sustainment of mechanical sub-systems. Your contributions will directly impact the development and delivery of critical systems for our customers. In this role, you will:

 

• Perform technical execution of tasks related to the design, manufacture, integration, and production sustainment of mechanical sub-systems.
• Recommend solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Utilize 3D CAD tools to create models and drawings for mechanical components and assemblies.
• Interpret and analyze assembly and component drawings to support design and manufacturing processes.
• Work collaboratively in engineering labs and on the factory floor to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
• Engage with suppliers to address quality issues and ensure timely delivery of components.
• Support the development and maintenance of technical documentation and data packages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and deliverables.

 

Qualifications You Must Have

• Masters degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Experience with 3D CAD tools for modeling and drawing.
• Experience interpreting assembly and/or component drawings.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5.
• Proficiency in Creo (modeling and drawing) and Windchill (PDM).
• Mechanical aptitude to provide solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
