There is currently one vacancy within the Education Services Division (working 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 12 months per year).

BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Director Professional Learning Communities and K-12 Assessment, plan, organize, coordinate and implement specialized duties in support of the District student assessment program; coordinate state testing aspects including ordering, training, assisting with compliance, maintaining testing procedures and security; provide teachers, principals and district administrators with pertinent and accurate information to impact student achievement. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college-level coursework in statistics or related field and five years increasingly responsible experience in the administration of a student assessment program.

The supplemental questions to the application will be reviewed and rated for certification. These questions are required at the time of application and are qualifying.

An eligibility list will be established for successful candidates which will be used to fill open positions during the life of the list.

Examinations and interviews held to create the eligible list will be conducted virtually, using different online/internet platforms that require video recording or conferencing capabilities, as well as access to a computer with internet connection and basic Microsoft Office Suite Software.

The virtual written examination is tentatively scheduled for the week of October 19th. The virtual qualifications appraisal interview (oral exam) is tentatively scheduled for the week of October 26th. You will be contacted via email, as indicated on your application, regarding your ability to participate in the examination phase of this recruitment.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Plan, organize, coordinate and implement specialized duties in support of the District student assessment program; serve as a technical resource to school sites, system vendors, subcontractors, auditors and parents regarding assessment policies and procedures and data information.
 
Coordinate state testing aspects including ordering, training, assisting with compliance, maintaining testing procedures and security; provide administrative support and oversight to current state testing standards and physical fitness tests.
 
Provide support to District-level assessments; design assessment shells and other data collection and reporting systems.
 
Maintain the data warehouse, student information system and associated reports; import external and State test data; maintain data integrity; create accounts and provide school site support; create data reports to assist with the identification of trends and support of instructional initiatives.
 
Provide support to State accountability reports; compile and create data reports; review CALPADS extracts to assure data integrity.
 
Train and provide work direction to assigned staff.
 
Provide technical information and assistance to the Director regarding assigned functions; assist in the formulation and development of policies, procedures and programs.
 
Prepare and maintain a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records and files related to personnel and assigned activities.
 
Communicate with other administrators, personnel and outside organizations to coordinate activities and programs, resolve issues and conflicts and exchange information.
 
Participate in the development of the annual preliminary budget; analyze and review budgetary and financial data; control and authorize expenditures in accordance with established limitations.
 
Operate a computer and assigned software programs; operate other office equipment as assigned. Attend and conduct a variety of meetings as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE OF:
Planning, organization, coordination and implementation of specialized duties in support of a student assessment program.
State assessment codes and policies.
