Overview
Industry: Aerospace/Defense
Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Pau, France
Frequency: 40/hrs per week
Duration: 6 months minimum with potential extension
Responsibilities
Review, update, and correct manufacturing plans, work instructions, and process documentation.
Provide technical expertise to develop, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes and instructions.
Support corrective action activities by investigating manufacturing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective technical solutions.
Lead and support projects related to manufacturing line improvements, process optimization, and the implementation of new manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
Analyze manufacturing data and recommend improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and process reliability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
3–6 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing engineering.
Strong knowledge and practical experience in manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and boilermaking.
Experience developing, reviewing, and improving manufacturing worksheets, work instructions, and process documentation.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, data analysis, and communication skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and applicable aerospace standards.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and corrective action processes is an asset.
Six Sigma Black Belt certification is considered a strong asset.
