NDT Technician

 

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for an NDT Technician role in Phoenix, AZ. Key Responsibilities:

· Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections on components, materials, and finished products to identify defects, discontinuities, and other conditions that may impact quality.

· Conduct inspections using applicable NDT methods such as dye penetrant (PT), magnetic particle (MT), ultrasonic (UT), and/or radiographic testing (RT) based on qualifications and certification level.

· Interpret and evaluate inspection results in accordance with applicable specifications, codes, drawings, and customer requirements.

· Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment while ensuring equipment remains in proper working condition.

· Review blueprints, technical drawings, work instructions, and inspection requirements to determine appropriate testing procedures.

· Accurately document inspection results and maintain complete testing and quality records.

· Identify and communicate nonconforming conditions to Quality, Engineering, Production, and other appropriate personnel.

· Maintain compliance with established NDT procedures, quality standards, and applicable industry requirements.

· Assist with troubleshooting inspection issues and support corrective actions when necessary.

· Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized inspection and work area.

· Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure products meet required specifications before release.

 

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in NDT, inspection, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

· Previous experience performing non-destructive testing in a manufacturing, aerospace, fabrication, or similar industrial environment preferred.

· Experience with one or more NDT methods, including PT, MT, UT, and/or RT.

· Current or previous NDT Level II certification is highly preferred.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, technical drawings, and inspection documentation.

· Familiarity with NDT equipment, calibration procedures, and inspection techniques.

· Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and accurately document defects and nonconforming conditions.

· Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams.
