Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide advice to internal customers (functions or businesses) in various Treasury areas. Each day, you will identify and suggest process improvement opportunities to minimize and reduce risks. You will also showcase your expertise by implementing appropriate financial instruments and transactions required to manage the risk. We are strengthening the Global Trade Finance Development Center (TFDC) as Center of Expertise (CoE) for Export & Trade Finance processes in Kraków. We are looking for talented and self -driven candidates who would like to contribute to this event and be part of this great undertaking.

This role is contributing to the Trade Finance Delivery Center in Americas, APAC or EMEA region. Main stakeholders are banks and internal ABB project managers from various businesses.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Acting as a senior member of the Export and Trade Finance operational team, independently managing end‑to‑end processing of guarantees, counter‑guarantees
- Handling complex, non‑standard, and high‑risk trade finance transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies, bank requirements, and regulatory standards
- Providing expert operational support and guidance to local business units on day‑to‑day trade finance and treasury‑related matters
- Serving as a key contact for ABB core banks, leading discussions on operational topics and managing escalations when required
- Acting as a subject‑matter expert and point of reference for process‑related questions within the team
- Proactively identifying process inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities, and actively contribute to or lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Participating in treasury and transformation projects, supporting design, implementation, and change adoption activities
- Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across functions and regions to ensure effective delivery of trade finance services
- Ensuring strong risk awareness, compliance, and adherence to quality standards in all activities

Qualifications for the role:
- You have at least 3-5 years of experience in Treasury, especially administration and handling of Trade Finance instruments
- Possess University degree in Finance, Banking, Treasury Management, Economics, or a related field
- Possess solid understanding of Trade Finance instruments; knowledge of URDG and UCP is considered an advantage
- You are proficient user of MS Excel and standard Windows applications
- Possess strong communication skills with experience in daily cooperation with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. banks, business units)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken
- Communicative proficiency in German and Spanish would be an asset
- You have valid work permit / visa allowing employment in Poland
