Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quantitative and qualitative research projects, delivering insights that inform strategic decision-making across North American power and renewable energy markets.
- Develop and communicate clear, actionable recommendations by synthesizing complex market, economic, and modeling analyses.
- Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business challenges, define analytical approaches, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Manage analytical workstreams independently, coordinating across research, modeling, and commercial teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Contribute to Aurora’s growth by enhancing research capabilities and supporting thought leadership and product development initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, technical, or related field (e.g. Math, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Finance, Environmental Studies)
- 2+ years of professional experience in research, consulting, analytics, economics, energy markets, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage analytical projects and deliver high-quality work with limited supervision
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for the energy transition and interest in power and renewable energy markets
- Experience in North American power markets, renewable energy, utilities, or energy consulting
- Proficiency in SQL, MATLAB, Python, R, or other data analysis tools
- Advanced Excel and data visualization capabilities
- Experience managing client-facing projects or stakeholder relationships
