Job Description:
This job is responsible for resolving complex operational accounting functions and issues in accordance with standard procedures. Key responsibilities include conducting analyses of complex issues related to all operational accounting functions, such as general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Job expectations include performing analytical research and leveraging judgment to make informed decisions using accounting systems and tools, following established processes, coaching and training employees, and handling exceptions and escalations within the Line of Business.
Line of Business Job Description
Resolves research and adjustment inquiries within the bank's practices and procedures. Responsibilities include: investigates daily incoming research and adjustment inquiries; resolves differences; answers service requests and inquiries received from various channels; determines accounting entries and makes appropriate disposition. Maintains internal operational and financial controls and ensures that they are observed for all assigned cases. Ensures that all cases are resolved in compliance with industry regulations and bank procedures, integrity levels of the department's case management system and financial controls. May provide support to and training to other researchers within the department. Handles more complex cases which require analytical and problem resolution skills
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 am - 4:00 pm ET
Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate and complete records including ledgers, invoices, and receipts by referencing documents to verify, record, and process transactions
- Prepares financial reports and budgets and assists with audits to resolve discrepancies
- Processes and organizes invoices to ensure bills are received and paid in a timely manner
- Demonstrates an understanding of workflow processes and adheres to Service Level Agreements and federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
- Manages the end-to-end workflow process by using various accounting systems and tools
- Researches and analyzes complex procedures, cases, and situations that may come up during account reconciliation activities
Required Skills:
- Proficient Reconciliation Experience 1-3 years
- Exposure to Official Items systems such as SMS, FIRST, FDES, APECS, IMAGEVIEW, CONTENT NAVIGATOR etc
- Proficient PC and calculator skills
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Effective attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written & verbal communication skills

- Ability to work in high volume environment, adhering to production standards and SLA’s set by management
- Consistently meets or exceed established performance standards on all job assignments

Desired Skills
- Basic understanding of the Official Items end to end process
