You will help create a positive and inclusive environment, build strong relationships with children and their families, and contribute to the planning and delivery of activities in line with the EYFS framework.

The successful candidate will be confident supporting children's personal, social and emotional development, promoting independence and ensuring that safeguarding and welfare remain a priority throughout the nursery day. Patience, creativity, flexibility and a genuine passion for early years education will be essential in this role.

  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive nursery environment.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with children, parents and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality care and education.
  • Support children's routines, including mealtimes, personal care and rest periods, as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow nursery policies and procedures.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and hygiene requirements at all times.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and the continuous improvement of nursery provision.

  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • A good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • A caring, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to plan and support engaging, age-appropriate learning activities.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to meeting children's individual needs.
