Be the First Step in Helping Someone Get the Care They Need
At Bay Area Rehabilitation Center, we believe that every person deserves access to compassionate, quality care. As a nonprofit organization, our work goes beyond providing services—we help individuals and families navigate challenges, build independence, and improve their quality of life.
We’re looking for an Outpatient Intake Coordinator who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and being part of a team that makes a difference.
As an Intake Coordinator, you’ll be one of the first people a patient or family member meets when beginning their journey with us. You’ll help make the intake process easier, answer questions, coordinate appointments, and work behind the scenes to ensure patients get connected with the services they need.
If you're someone who is friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys a position where no two days are exactly alike, we'd love to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
- Welcome and assist new patients and families throughout the intake and registration process.
- Coordinate admissions and ensure all necessary information and documentation is completed accurately.
- Enter and maintain patient information in our electronic medical record system.
- Answer incoming calls and provide helpful, professional assistance to patients, families, referral sources, and insurance representatives.
- Verify insurance eligibility and assist with obtaining required authorizations.
- Schedule patient appointments and provide follow-up as needed.
- Serve as a key point of communication between patients, families, referral sources, and our clinical team.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
- Provide administrative and organizational support to department supervisors.
- Help identify and resolve intake or scheduling issues to keep the process moving smoothly.
- Assist with other administrative duties and special projects as needed.
