Description

KitchFix is a chef-driven organization that seeks to provide best-in-class hospitality through quality food and unparalleled service. Our operations include contract dining for performance-focused operations in 8 states and a headquarters based in Chicago. We believe exceptional hospitality helps all individuals reach their full potential.

Join the Culinary Team Behind Major and Minor League Baseball Organizations.

We’re hiring an Executive Chef to join our culinary team supporting the Texas Rangers baseball team in Arlington, TX.

Run your own kitchen inside a Major League clubhouse. Bring your passion for food, and for Dallas–Fort Worth, to the players and staff of the Texas Rangers every day, with real autonomy and a corporate culinary team behind you.

This position reports directly to the Regional Director of Operations - West.

What You’ll Do:

  • Direct the food preparation for all Texas Rangers home games during exhibition games, regular season, and post-season.
    • Full buffet line
    • Made-to-order meals
    • Specialized meals, including dietary restrictions
    • Plan, organize, coordinate, and prepare three meals per game day, serving approximately 60–100 people per meal.
    • Manage and maintain all-access snack, beverage, and recovery stations in the clubhouse
  • Collaborate with the performance team & dietitian(s) to develop menus and recipes.
  • Be a good partner to the Texas performance team, specifically the Home Clubhouse Manager and MLB Dietitian.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and manage a seasonal Rangers-dedicated staff.
  • Participate in corporate initiatives and be a contributing member of the KitchFix culinary leadership team.
  • Track & manage account budgets. Be responsible for COGS, specifically food and labor costs.
  • Serve well-rounded menus that feature Dominican, Puerto Rican, Venezuelan, and Cuban cuisine regularly.
  • Build relationships with local purveyors, farmers, and makers to source quality products and bring them to the clubhouse.
  • Be responsible for all ordering, storage, and inventory for all purchased products.
  • Oversee food safety & handling procedures within the kitchen & dining room.
  • Ensure proper labeling for all served products, including major ingredients and allergens.
  • Work in tandem with the client for any special events outside of regularly scheduled game services, i.e., anniversaries, family days, practice days, and press conferences.
  • Dedicate up to three weeks of travel to Surprise, AZ, to support spring training operations and build relationships with the club (February/March).
  • Promote and exemplify a culture that is rooted in positivity and humility.
  • Keep up to date with current food trends, new products, and emerging cuisines.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as an executive chef, with expertise in food preparation, food safety, and hospitality.
  • ServSafe food manager certification and allergen certification.
  • Perform the physical demands – Remain on your feet for several hours at a time, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, withstand high-temperature conditions, bend, kneel, and stoop.
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen equipment and good knife skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience working with a P&L account.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to work the full year-round schedule outlined below.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Loves this city and its food. Knows the local producers and makers, or is hungry to find them, and gets excited sharing what they find.
  • Can cook a little of a lot, really well. A deep repertoire, including Latin cuisine, three meals a day across long stretches.
  • Great with people. Real relationships with players, clubhouse staff, and their own crew. Front-of-house or hospitality experience is a real plus.
  • Obsessed with details. A hospitality standard that matches a demanding clubhouse.
  • Humble, coachable leader. Works within our standards, sees KitchFix as support, builds a crew people want to be part of.
  • Owns it year-round. Shows up when the club needs them and uses the offseason to make the kitchen better.
  • Built for the season. Strong work ethic and time management through a demanding schedule.
  • Well-Rounded Experience.  Has lots of diverse experience within the hospitality industry.

Work Schedule:

  • February: Spring training in Surprise, AZ, up to 3 weeks.
  • March: Season prep in Arlington, largely hands-on and independent: final hiring, training the team, organizing and placing opening orders, stocking, and final cleaning.
  • Late March–September: 81 home games across roughly 13 homestands, plus start-up, and shutdown days. Long days on-site, with off weeks for planning, admin, and rest.
  • Offseason: Largely self-directed after training and trust built with management. Menu planning, exploring the local food scene, building the team, corporate initiatives including occasional travel, regular time improving the kitchen, and a handful of club events.

Our Total Rewards Package includes:

  • Annual salary, starting at $80,000–$90,000/year, based on experience
  • Annual bonus potential — up to 5% of annual salary
  • Comprehensive benefits package:
    • Medical, Dental, Vision
    • Health Savings Account (HSA)
    • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
  • Monthly cell phone reimbursement
  • Company laptop
  • 401(k) plan
  • Paid Time Off (3 weeks of PTO, Sick Time, Paid Holidays)
  • Paid parental leave
  • Opportunity to contribute directly to KitchFix’s growth
