Job Description

As a Security Officer Front Desk Administration in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in an educational setting, you will welcome students, visitors, and staff while supporting access control and badge procedures. You will maintain a professional presence, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and security-related protocols at the front desk.
• Greet visitors professionally, verify identification and appointments as applicable, issue visitor credentials, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with location requirements.
• Monitor front desk activity, alarms, communications, and access points; report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Provide directions and general campus information while maintaining a professional, welcoming presence that helps to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
