Company Description

See how Epsilon powers connected marketing by unlocking the full potential of data and identity.

Overview

The Team Lead of Media Planning & Forecasting is responsible for leading the execution, coordination, and delivery of media planning and forecasting initiatives across Media Planning, Performance Forecasting, and Retail Media Network (RMN) solutions. This role manages a diverse team of media planners and forecasters, supports complex and high-priority clients, and drives operational efficiency across forecasting workflows. The Team Lead serves as a hands-on leader, ensuring media plans and forecasts are accurate, timely, and aligned to client objectives across all Epsilon products and solutions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse group of media planners and forecasters across Media Planning and Performance Forecasting, including prioritizing workflow, managing assignments, and balancing pipelines.
  • Lead the development of media plan recommendations — translating client objectives, budgets, and audiences into channel and tactic mix, budget allocation, flighting, and KPI projections across Epsilon products and solutions.
  • Serve as point of escalation for media planning and forecasting requests, execution challenges, and prioritization decisions.
  • Act as the dedicated media planning and forecasting lead for complex and high-priority clients across all Epsilon products and solutions.
  • Partner with Sales and Solutions to support integrated, multi-product forecasting and solutioning.
  • Identify gaps in products, processes, and overall solutioning capabilities; collaborate with leadership to develop and implement optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on the refinement of forecasting tools, processes, and overall approach to improve consistency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure forecasting methodologies, assumptions, and outputs align with established standards and procedures.
  • Monitor forecast quality and performance, proactively identifying risks, issues, and improvement opportunities.

Critical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and operational skills with experience managing forecasting workflows across multiple teams and priorities.
  • Strong media planning fundamentals — audience strategy, channel and tactic mix, budget allocation, and flighting — with the ability to connect plans to forecasted outcomes.
  • Ability to translate complex, multi-product client needs into clear forecasting strategies and outputs.
  • Proven people management skills, including coaching, prioritization, and critical issue management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing demands.
  • Excellent communication skills across analytical, commercial, and cross-functional collaborators.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in media planning, forecasting, analytics, or related roles.
  • Experience managing or mentoring teams responsible for forecasting or analytical delivery.
  • Broad knowledge of adtech and martech products and solutions (e.g., retail media, programmatic, identity, CRM, loyalty), with the ability to support integrated, cross-product forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast paced, complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong Excel and analytical tool proficiency.
