Experience Designer (3 years contract)

[What the role is]

Science Centre Singapore is dedicated to the promotion of interest, learning and creativity in science & technology through imaginative and enjoyable experiences, and to contribute to the nation's development of its human resource.

We are looking for a dynamic member to join the Exhibitions department as Experience Designer on a three-year contract.

You will work with a team of Imagineers, Producers, and Engineers to create science-based exhibitions and support projects in the Exhibitions and Galleries Division.

[What you will be working on]

As an Experience Designer, you will work on the interactive content and environmental design of exhibitions. You will work together with a project team to conceptualise and develop the narrative and expected experience for an exhibition. You will also be required to prepare technical documents for Tender or Procurement exercises and conduct tender briefings to contractors.

[What we are looking for]

The candidate should have a passion for science and exhibition experiences. You should be able to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team drawn from inside and outside the organisation throughout the design process.

The candidate must have the ability to translate concepts into experiences and to ideate from scratch. Candidates should be self-driven and creative with good organisational and communication skills and possess a good aesthetic and/or design sense.

Knowledge in experience curation for Museums, Science Centres, or Attractions and knowledge in Design, Educational Technology, User experience and User Interface is advantageous. 

Having worked in designing experiences across multiple platforms (physical and virtual) is an added advantage.
