Description
Eaton’s AER Aerospace Group division is currently seeking a Product Sales Manager - Mil-Aero.
## What you’ll do:
The Product Sales Manager, Manager role is part of the ITD America sales organization. The role is responsible for an assigned territory and set of customers in the military and aerospace markets while leading the other PSM’s in the other America’s territories. The role reports to the Senior Sales Manager for ITD Americas.
The individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships within the assigned territory. They will lead growth opportunities through the stages of the selling cycle and applying value selling with particular emphasis on developing winning capture strategies. The individual will be responsible for managing and driving manufacturer sales representative’s activity in the assigned territory.
In addition, this position will manage the America’s ITD sales team. This role is responsible for the overall execution of growth for Mil-Aero Americas customers. Driving and managing the team, setting goals and standard processes are critical to this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Territory Management
A. Take ownership of the assigned sales territory by achieving profitable sales and booking goals as well as targeted price increases
B. Develop and maintain sound customer relationships, uncover sales opportunities, and build a sold pipeline.
C. Leverage extended resources to identify and execute new sales opportunities
D. Supervise business activity from all sales channels in the territory including manufacturer sales representatives
E. Visit distribution branch locations and conducts training with manufacturer sales representatives.
F. Develop lead generation program in conjunction with product launches
G. Working with Product Manger and Finance resources to develop opportunity business cases
H. Lead contractual and pricing negotiations with the support of the contracts and pricing teams
I. Understand effectively communicate customer needs within the sales, product management, and engineering organizations.
J. Understand current product value proposition and future application requirements for the portfolio
K. Support the strategic planning process by maintaining thorough knowledge of the product portfolio including new technology needs and competitor positions.
L. Support the demand aspect of the SIOP process and be an active participant in a all necessary phses of the process including Profit Plan top line review
M. Own sales forecast, provides comprehensive reporting, and oversees booking levels
Team Leadership
A. Lead sales team for overall profitable growth
B. Manage team in order to maximize performance and effectiveness
C. Work extensively with extended manufacturers rep team to ensure overall performance
D. Lead vertical and focus market initiatives with the team
## Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of business development, program management, marketing or sales associated with the military or aerospace markets
- Minimum of 3 years leading sales teams
- This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s in business administration
- Previous experience in electrical connectors
- Experience in strategically growing space-based product lines
- Demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and management prowess
- Strong interpersonal skills, writing skills and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and pull information
- Ability to manage by influence through social relationships at leadership level.

- Ability to work on time sensitive projects, meet critical deadlines, and deliver commitments in a calm and organized manner.
- Up to 30% travel required.

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $xxx-xxx
