Automotive Performance & Engine Shop Technician

Location: New Hudson, MI
Schedule: Full-time, morning shift, 100% onsite
Pay: Competitive, based on experience and certifications

MARTIN Technologies is hiring a hands-on technician for our New Hudson shop. If you understand how engines work, enjoy solving mechanical problems, and take pride in safe, detailed work, we’d like to hear from you.

What you’ll do

• Perform engine and automotive shop work following work orders and supervisor instructions.
• Inspect parts, identify issues, and assist with mechanical troubleshooting.
• Use hand tools, air tools, and machine shop equipment safely.
• Follow step-by-step procedures and document completed work and findings.
• Keep tools, equipment, and the shop clean and organized.
• Work with the team to complete projects accurately and on time.

What you’ll bring

• Experience working in an automotive, engine, or performance shop.
• Your own toolbox and basic tools.
• A solid understanding of engine operation and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with air tools and the ability to operate machine shop equipment under safety guidelines.
• Attention to detail, dependable attendance, and the ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• A team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.

A plus: Fabrication, electrical wiring, advanced troubleshooting, dyno operation, or performance tuning experience. Familiarity with HP Tuners, Holley EFI, MoTeC, Haltech, boost systems, or different fuel types is also valuable.
