Your day at NTT DATA
The Associate Data Custodian/Steward is an entry level role within the Data Custodianship job family and is responsible for assisting with the ongoing management of master data that is being used in the organization’s applications and helps to ensure that data is of high quality and integrity.

This role is required to develop proficiency in data custodianship and continuously supports and develops skills in the creation of standard definitions to be adhered to by the organization.

Key responsibilities:

Role Purpose:
Support the Services team in reconciling, validating and cleaning contract data across Services, Finance and relevant systems to improve data accuracy, billing visibility and renewal tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile and validate active Services contract data.
• Verify contracts are correctly captured in SAP and appropriately billed.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in contract dates, values and billing information.
• Maintain an accurate and standardized Services contract master database.
• Track discrepancies and corrective actions through to closure.
• Highlight potential billing, revenue leakage and renewal risks.
• Recommend controls to improve ongoing contract-data accuracy.

Key Deliverable:
Complete reconciliation of active Services contracts and establish a reliable, validated contract master database.

• Understanding of database structures.
• Has problem-solving ability.
• Relevant knowledge of data governance and quality, including policies, processes and tools.
• Ability to relate data to both business process and human consumers.
• Analytical thinking to evaluate data, identify issues and implement solutions.
• Some expertise in managing large data volumes and developing automated processes to facilitate routine activities.

Academic qualifications and certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, data management or related preferred.
• Advanced Excel Knowledge

Required experience:

• Basic experience in a similar role, for example, as a technical data steward.
• Basic experience working with a variety of stakeholders in a related discipline.
• Basic experience working with data governance and quality tools.
• Background in relational databases.
