Medical Director – Veterans Health

Location: Oswego, NY | Clinical – Physician

Setting: Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC)

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Medical Director to lead our outpatient clinic team in Oswego, NY, providing exceptional primary care and clinical oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services, including routine physicals, preventive screenings, acute care, and chronic disease management.
  • Oversee daily clinical operations, quality assurance, and clinical compliance across the CBOC.
  • Diagnose and manage diseases and injuries affecting internal organ systems.
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians and support staff.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clinical coordination, resolving patient, colleague, and operational issues promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification: Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Experience: 4+ years of clinical practice; prior healthcare leadership or administrative management preferred. Experience in a VA, military, or government healthcare setting is a strong plus.
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted medical license in New York (or any U.S. state/territory, subject to VA contractual terms).
  • Certifications: Current, unrestricted DEA registration; active BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or equivalent).
  • Credentialing: Must be credentialed and maintain good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
  • Skills: Strong leadership capability to manage team dynamics, proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), and a commitment to high-touch patient satisfaction.
