Position Summary...

The Senior Manager, Utility Partnerships - Regulatory manages utility risks and advances an affordable, reliable, and clean energy system through regulatory and legislative engagement. This role involves analyzing business objectives and regulatory proposals to develop and execute advocacy, submitting written testimony and being subject to cross-examination, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and external agencies. The Senior Manager fosters continuous improvement to advance Walmart’s energy and sustainability goals while maintaining operational excellence and integrity.

The Utility Partnerships Regulatory team collaborates with utilities, regulators, and lawmakers to manage utility risks and advance an affordable, reliable, and clean energy system. The team develops business-enabling rules and rates, supports clean energy initiatives, and creates utility products to maintain competitive markets. Working cross-functionally and with external partners, the team drives energy management programs and regulatory compliance aligned with Walmart’s operational goals. What you'll do...

• Assess and provide guidance on rate reviews, regulatory filings, and participate in regulatory proceedings to control utility costs.
• Track and monetize proposed and approved utility rate changes to support regulatory efforts and cost forecasting.
• Develop and execute utility products, services, and incentive procurement for energy efficiency and electric vehicle charging.
• Lead utility data acquisition initiatives and collaborate with utility leaders and trade organizations to advance operational objectives.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop team members while promoting performance standards and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring:

• Ability to develop written testimony for utility rate proceedings.  
• Extensive experience managing utility partnerships and navigating regulatory environments across multiple regions.
• Strong expertise in financial and data analysis to support cost forecasting and rate review assessments.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans and manage complex projects effectively.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities to influence utility leaders and regulatory bodies.
• Proficiency in driving operational improvements and leveraging utility incentives for energy efficiency and electric vehicle initiatives.
• Commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and fostering collaborative cross-functional relationships.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
