COMPTABLE SENIOR, FONDS D’INVESTISSEMENT 

APERÇU DU POSTE 

L'équipe de comptabilité des fonds remplit des fonctions essentielles pour garantir l'exactitude de la comptabilité.  Les principales responsabilités de l'équipe sont d'examiner et d'approuver les NAV (Net Asset Value) des administrateurs externes, d'examiner et de traiter les factures, de gérer le processus d'audit.  De plus, l’équipe doit entretenir de bonnes relations avec de nombreux prestataires de services afin de garantir l’obtention d’informations exactes en temps voulu.  Les membres de l'équipe sont également impliqués dans la réalisation de divers projets et doivent participer au développement et à la révision des outils internes d'Innocap. 

La comptable senior, fonds d'investissement, assure les fonctions suivantes :

• Réviser les calculs de valeur nette d'inventaire (NAV), les frais de gestion et de rendement ainsi que les ratios de dépenses pour une variété de produits d'investissement alternatifs ;

• Soutenir les activités quotidiennes des fonds du point de vue de l'équipe de comptabilité ;

• Agir à titre de personne-ressource pour les demandes complexes ou escaladées provenant des clients, des gestionnaires d'investissement, des administrateurs et des contreparties ;

• Participer aux communications et aux projets avec les partenaires internes et externes et collaborer à la mise en place de nouveaux fonds ;

• Réviser les politiques d'évaluation et collaborer avec le comité d'évaluation d'Innocap ainsi qu'avec les administrateurs de fonds ;

• Participer à l'audit des fonds, notamment en gérant les échéanciers, en participant aux appels, en coordonnant les activités avec les partenaires internes et externes et en révisant les projets d'états financiers selon les normes US GAAP ;

• Réviser la documentation des fonds, notamment les conventions de gestion et les conventions de société en commandite, et fournir des commentaires à cet égard ;

• Coordonner avec les administrateurs des fonds la mise en place des fonds et le calcul des frais lors de la rédaction de la documentation des fonds, et assurer un suivi régulier des ententes de niveau de service ;

• Préparer, réviser régulièrement et assurer le suivi des budgets des fonds ;

• Collaborer à l'amélioration des processus et de la documentation et effectuer toute autre tâche connexe qui lui est confiée.

PROFIL RECHERCHÉ 

• Diplôme universitaire en comptabilité ou combinaison équivalente de formation et d'expérience ;

• Niveau d'expérience souhaité : intermédiaire (minimum de 4 à 5 ans d'expérience) ;

• Solide connaissance de divers instruments financiers et de leur évaluation ;

• Expérience des fonds spéculatifs comportant différentes structures d'investissement et différents types d'instruments ;

• Excellente connaissance des normes de présentation de l'information financière US GAAP ;

• Connaissance de divers documents juridiques tels que les notices d'offre et les conventions de société en commandite ;

• Maîtrise avancée de Microsoft 365, en particulier Excel et SharePoint ;

• Esprit analytique, souci du détail et du contrôle, débrouillardise et capacité démontrée à demeurer organisée et à gérer efficacement son travail dans le respect des échéanciers ;

• Excellentes habiletés de communication orale et écrite, avec la capacité de transmettre efficacement l'information aux parties prenantes internes et externes ;

• Qualités démontrées de leadership ainsi qu'une approche proactive, positive et adaptable au travail.

SENIOR FUND ACCOUNTANT

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Platform Accounting team performs critical functions to ensure accounting accuracy for the funds. The team’s core responsibilities are then to review and approve the fund administrators’ net asset valuation (NAV), review, and process invoices, manage the audit process, and foster relationships with many service providers to ensure timely and accurate information. Team members are also involved in performing project work and are expected to actively participate in the development, testing and review of Innocap' s proprietary tools.

The Senior Fund Accountant, Platform Accounting, is responsible for the following functions: 

• Review NAV calculations, management/incentive fees and expense ratios for a variety of alternative investments products.  

• Support daily activities of the funds from the accounting team’s perspective.

• Act as point person for escalated queries from clients, investment managers, administrators, and counterparties. 

• Participate in communication and project work with internal and external partners and collaborate on fund onboarding. 

• Review valuation policies and engage with Innocap’s valuation committee and fund administrators.   

• Participate in fund audit, including management of timelines, participating on calls, coordination with external and internal partners and review of US GAAP financial statement drafts. 

• Review and provide feedback on fund documentation such as management agreements and partnership agreements.

• Coordinate fund set-up with the fund’s administrator on the calculation of fees during the drafting of fund documents and frequently monitor service level agreements.  

• Prepare and regularly review and monitor fund budgets. 

• Collaborate on process improvement and documentation and perform other activities as assigned. 

 PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 

• Desired seniority level: midlevel (minimum 4-5 years of experience). 

• Strong knowledge of various financial instruments and their valuation.

• Experience with hedge funds with different investment structures and instrument types. 

• Excellent knowledge of US GAAP reporting standards.

• Knowledge of various legal documents such as Offering Memorandums and Partnership Agreements. 

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Excel and SharePoint.   

• Analytical, detail- and control-oriented, resourceful with proven ability to stay organized and manage work in a timely manner. 

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate information to internal and external stakeholders. 

• Demonstrated leadership qualities along with a proactive, positive, and adaptable approach to work.
