Who we are looking for
Defines business/system requirements by facilitating user meetings and interviewing users, developing use cases, working with SQL queries and researching and resolving issues. Participates in business analysis by documenting very low-level specifications and preparing project documentation. Analyzes current processes and recommends solutions for improving/adding processes. Provides technical and business knowledge to various stakeholders. Working with multiple teams to get the required functionality done. Work with Development and Internal support teams on any ongoing Business and Technical issues. Working in Agile environment as an Agile PO and exposure working with other PO's is a must and work on Business and data analysis in coordination with the team and Business users.
The target system is a data warehouse and data lake application used for various financial reporting and persisting various functional data which includes in-depth Business analysis, user/stakeholder JAD sessions with robust Data analytical skills under Oracle SQL and Databricks platforms within Securities lending business domain.
HYBRID: This role has a 2-day persona- 2 days working in office and 3 days work from home.
Technical Business/Data Analyst to provide support for new projects and ongoing business processes. Should be a hands-on Oracle and Databricks queries for deep data analysis and documentation. Candidate should have 10 to 12 years of experience in the investment/securities industry. The candidate MUST be able to complete the following job responsibilities:
- Having previous experience working in an Agile team as an Agile PO will help succeed in this role.
- In-depth working knowledge on Datawarehouse and data lake for various Investment banking use cases will be a quick consideration.
- Having hands on application development experience in terms of data and various business use cases within securities lending domain and having worked in data migration efforts is highly preferable.

What you will be responsible for
As an application development Business/Data Analyst you will perform the following job responsibilities
- Researching and gathering business/system requirements through the facilitation of end user meetings and user interviews
- Analyzing current processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities and providing business solutions.
- Decomposing abstract and complex details/concepts into business and functional requirements that can be understood by the stakeholders (i.e. end users, developers, testers, etc.)
- Developing conceptual modeling and process workflows to illustrate current and future states
- Developing detailed business and functional requirement documents
- Experience working as a business analyst on financial service applications that deal with OLAP and OLTP systems and reporting associated with front-end trading and back end batch processes
- Communicating (verbal and written) project details and concepts to various audiences
- Preparing end user documentation and facilitating end user training
- Defining the business deployment strategy and facilitating the business deployments
- Leading the end-to-end Agile SDLC. Includes participating and directing as needed the entire project from initiation to implementation to ensure business objectives are met - this includes actively participating in technical design and architecture reviews and test case reviews, etc.
- Experience in agile teams is a must
- Should be very good in Oracle SQL queries and using SQL tools, exposure to various data analytical functions.
- Developing UI design requirements is a must
- Knowledge of depositories, custodians, counterparties, Market reference data sets is a must
- working experience of Data warehouse and data lake platforms is a must
- Working knowledge of any agile methodology is preferable.
- Working knowledge of any Business Intelligence tool for visualization is highly preferable.
- Working experience in cloud technologies and having worked on migration projects from on premises to public cloud (AWS) cloud is preferrable
- 8+ years of Investment Banking industry experience with regulatory reporting frameworks like Liquidity, SFTR experience is a must.

Salary Range:
$120,000 - $202,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
