Job Description
Seasoned and energetic professional with experience in higher education, workforce development, nursing, entrepreneurship, and/or program administration who can deliver on key responsibilities to successfully support the IV Tech Entrepreneurs in Nursing Perkins Reserve Competitive Grant in a timely, collaborative, student-centered, and results-oriented manner.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Recruit and inform CSN students about the Practical Nursing degree and IV Therapy classes and the career pathways available through these programs.
Provide support and consultation to students, faculty, staff, and program partners regarding workforce, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities connected to Practical Nursing and IV Therapy skills.
Develop collaborative and comprehensive engagement and outreach strategies to increase student awareness and participation in the Practical Nursing and IV Therapy pathways.
Support the development and execution of program activities, which may include information sessions, workshops, skill-building activities, entrepreneurship programming, and other student engagement opportunities.
Provide information on entrepreneurship opportunities using IV Therapy-related skills for employment and business development while students are earning a degree in Practical Nursing.
Build effective working relationships across Small Business Entrepreneurship Development, Nursing, the Division of Workforce and Economic Development, and other relevant campus and community partners.
Support operational excellence through coordination, communication, data collection, program tracking, and continuous improvement activities appropriate to the assigned role.
Be forward thinking and innovative in identifying opportunities that connect nursing, IV Therapy, workforce needs, and entrepreneurship.
Actively participate in relevant communities of practice, grant activities, and collaborative efforts supporting the goals of the Perkins-funded initiative.
Minimum Qualifications
Relevant administrative, professional, instructional, clinical, workforce development, entrepreneurship, or program management experience appropriate to the assigned role.
Experience working in higher education, workforce and economic development, nursing or healthcare education, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and internal and external partners.
Ability to communicate effectively and support students in identifying educational, employment, and/or entrepreneurship opportunities.
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience appropriate to the assigned position.
Demonstrated expertise relevant to the assigned position, including nursing, IV Therapy, entrepreneurship, small business development, workforce and economic development, program coordination, or data analysis.
Ability to perform the responsibilities of the assigned role and contribute to the successful implementation of grant-funded activities.
Ability to support data collection, documentation, reporting, and evaluation activities as applicable to the position.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in a related field.
Experience working with career and technical education, Perkins-funded initiatives, or other grant-funded programs.
Experience developing or supporting student engagement, workforce development, entrepreneurship, or skill-building programs.
Experience collaborating across academic, workforce, and community partnerships.
Starting Salary
Subject Matter Expert (SME). Based on a combination of education and experience.
Level I: $29.74/Hour
Level II: $36.32/Hour
Level III: $45.41/Hour
(Contingent upon grant funding)
