MaineGeneral Health Patient Services Representatives (PSRs) are essential to our practices, acting as patient advocates, access specialists, and service coordinators. While medical office experience is preferred, we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, including retail, teaching, and direct patient care. PSRs have a dynamic day-to-day, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, maintaining records, and acting as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers. This role requires multitasking, computer proficiency, and the ability to work independently. 

The Work: 

• Greet patients, answer phones, and provide clerical support. 

• Schedule appointments using computerized systems. 

• Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations. 

• Process payments or refer patients to financial counselors. 

• Accurately enter demographic, billing, and clinical data. 

You Have: 

• A passion for delivering phenomenal customer service. 

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems. 

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills. 

• Flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively. 

Compensation Information:

$19.50 - $35.18

The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
