Description

iFixit is the nexus of a global community showing people how to fix the things they own. We believe that we can make the world better by empowering people to take control of the things they own. We are the world’s foremost experts in repair, and we’ve set the gold-standard for online repair documentation. Every day we help thousands of people fix their stuff, and we’re on a mission to help millions more.

iFixit is looking for a Wholesale Operations Manager to own the operational execution of our U.S. wholesale business. Our parts, tools, and repair kits reach customers through national and big-box retailers alongside a broad base of distributors and B2B accounts. This role serves as the primary wholesale operational liaison between Sales, Finance, Purchasing, Logistics, Marketing, and E-Commerce.

You will own our EDI program end to end, serve as the internal authority on retailer compliance requirements, defend the business against chargebacks and deductions, run the internal and external onboarding when we land a new retail partner, and execute the retail display, POP, and pallet programs across our wholesale accounts. Throughout, you will raise the operational standard and eliminate the root causes of recurring problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Own day-to-day wholesale operations and fulfillment, ensuring orders are processed accurately and delivered OTIF to retail partners.
  • Build and implement scalable operational workflows that support wholesale account expansion and revenue growth.
  • Owns EDI end to end: new retailer connections, mapping, testing, go-live sign-off, and daily resolution of transaction errors.
  • Stay ahead of each retailer's EDI requirements and pending changes, including new or revised transaction sets, spec updates, and mandated migration deadlines.
  • Serve as the primary contact with our EDI provider and retailer EDI teams, driving issues to resolution rather than waiting on open tickets.
  • Maintain EDI-dependent item, customer, and fulfillment data in our ERP system so transmissions are correct at the source.
  • Serve as the company expert on each retailer's shipping, marking, labeling, and routing standards, and translate them into clear, current, actionable direction for the Fulfillment team.
  • Monitor OTIF, ASN accuracy, and scorecard performance against each retailer's thresholds, and correct root causes before penalties accrue.
  • Lead the internal and external onboarding for new wholesale retailers: vendor system setup, item setup sheets, imagery and content, compliance training for Fulfillment, EDI setup, and troubleshooting through go-live.
  • Manage all active retailer vendor portals, including documentation, scorecards, and support cases, and own the accuracy of all product data and content in every portal.
  • Maintain accurate wholesale cost and price files in our ERP system, EDI catalogs, and retailer portals.
  • Serve as the direct operational point of contact for wholesale customers, reps, and distributors.
  • Support the Sales team with samples, tradeshow and event logistics, POP and display programs, and operational analysis of sales programs.
  • Own the operational reporting that the business runs on, including order status, fulfillment and scorecard performance, deduction activity, and retailer performance. Use it to surface problems before they become escalations.
  • Analyze sales trends, product performance, and accounts to identify operational opportunities and risks.
  • Support accurate forecasting and demand planning in partnership with Sales and Purchasing.
  • Improve reporting automation and data flows to support decision-making across the wholesale organization.
  • Identify process gaps and deliver improvements independently, applying AI tools to real operational workflows, and document processes as you build them.

Experience & Qualifications:

Required-

  • 4+ years in wholesale operations, CPG retail operations, or similar experience, including direct work with national or big-box retail accounts.
  • EDI ownership.
  • Experience managing new customer setups and retailer compliance.
  • A demonstrated track record as a self-starter: owning outcomes without supervision and closing loops without reminders.
  • Track record of designing and scaling operational processes that drive efficiency and revenue growth.
  • Advanced spreadsheet proficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a consistent record of fast, clear responsiveness to internal teams, retailers, and vendors.

Preferred-

  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • SPS Commerce or TrueCommerce experience.
  • Direct experience with Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, or similar retailers.
  • Experience with retailer vendor and transportation portals.
  • Practical fluency with AI tools applied to real operational workflows.
