Within our Hospitality and Events team, we create exceptional experiences for our Members, suppliers and support centre teams. Our purpose-built Conference Centre is a hub for learning, training, meetings and events, helping bring people together from across the Foodies whānau. 

Te Tūranga – About The Role 

As a Hospitality and Conference Support Coordinator you’ll work closely with the Hospitality Manager to oversee the services of the minimart, cafe, test kitchen, demo kitchen, hospitality bar and events in our conference centre – all based in our Landing Drive Support Centre!  This is a detail orientated role focusing on the working mechanisms of the daily operations across these spaces. 

You’ll be responsible for: 

  • Managing bookings and events in the conference centre. 

  • Stock management and replenishment of goods in our Mini mart. 

  • Assisting in event functions when required. 

  • Working with suppliers and other stakeholders to bring food demonstrations to site. 

This role is based on a 40-hour week and predominately Monday to Friday, with some flexibility needed depending on upcoming events. 

He kōrero mōu - About you 

You’ll have previous experience in a role that is customer facing with operational focus in retail, hospitality or event management.  You’ll also be a self-starter with proven ability to work within a fast-paced team where at times you’ll take the lead to direct and manage workflow. 

 You’ll also have: 

  • Solid communication skills combined with good computer literacy. 

  • Capability to work between multiple areas, complete a wide range of tasks and be on your feet for long periods. 

  • Good ability to interact and seek out solutions with the right stakeholders.  

  • Knowledge of inventory control and stocktaking processes, along with basic computer skills. 

  • High standards of cleanliness and hygiene, understanding current food safety requirements.
