What You'll Do

As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will:

  • Review and evaluate medication orders to ensure safe and appropriate drug therapy.
  • Assess patient medication regimens and optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Identify, prevent, and resolve medication-related issues, including drug interactions, contraindications, and adverse effects.
  • Provide medication counseling and education to patients and caregivers.
  • Serve as a clinical drug information resource for healthcare teams.
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy and recommend adjustments when appropriate.
  • Participate in medication utilization evaluations, adverse drug reaction reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support pharmacy operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards.
  • Assist in the education and precepting of pharmacy students and residents.
  • Present educational programs and in-services to clinical staff as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Current pharmacist license in the state of practice.
  • Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred

  • Two or more years of clinical pharmacy experience.
  • Completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency.
  • Experience in a hospital or health system setting.
  • Familiarity with Epic, Micromedex, Omnicell, McKesson Automation, ScriptPro, or similar pharmacy technologies.
