POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain respectful and courteous relations with guests and crew
Facilitate group and individual eLearning classes that support social media, photography, and videography
Provide guests with tips that enhance their photos prior to uploading and sharing with friends and family
Work with entertainment team to create digital challenges that reinforce key learnings throughout a cruise
Maintain a meeting room schedule for groups and Digital classes
Create a picture or video of the day program that can be shared in Lynn or via other interactive televisions
Attend shore excursions as an escort when time permits. Share destination photos with onboard and corporate teams.
Work with shipboard IT to support meeting room audiovisual requests
Support eLearning tablet guest check-out processes
Running day-to-day events of the café
Follow and abide by the rules and regulations of assigned cruise line
Maintain clean, neat, and orderly internet cafés at all times
Ensure proper, secure storage and tablet charging
Work directly with designated shore side digital team members and onboard teams ensure shipboard success
Support onboard APP content updates as needed
Provide technical assistance related to iPhones and social media classes as needed
Other duties as may be assigned
NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS
This position reports directly to the designated shore side digital marketing team member, as well as the General Manager onboard each vessel. The position also necessitates good relations with all guests and crew onboard and by doing so creating a positive environment for enhanced revenue.
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Strong communication and relationship building skills with guests
Passion for photography, videography, and social programs
Familiar with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and other social programs
Excellent written, oral communication and presentational skills in English
Customer Service, Marketing / Sales experience
Basic photo and video editing experience
Ability to perform minor trouble shooting on PC / wireless networks along with proficiency in Excel, Word, and other PC software applications.
Strong computer and mobile phone knowledge (wireless internet experience and basic networking skills a plus)
Internet savvy, sales-oriented management ability
Associate degree or equivalent communications experience required
Strong organizational skills
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS
Demands of the position involve physical and mental health to be confirmed by cruise line-mandatory medical examination. Candidate will be required to complete 4-month contracts onboard cruise ships and remain flexible as to assignment locations and transfers.
