WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

Electronic Batch Records are a key part of reliable, compliant, and efficient manufacturing execution. This secondment offers a development-focused opportunity to lead cross-functional EBR work, broaden understanding of quality and manufacturing systems, and strengthen collaboration across Quality Operations, Manufacturing, Digital, Automation, Validation, and other partner groups.

We are seeking a highly motivated colleague to serve as the Manager, Electronic Batch Record (EBR) Program through a temporary secondment assignment. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to digital manufacturing systems, cross-functional leadership, computerized system lifecycle activities, and strategic deployment initiatives that support Pfizer's commitment to quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will partner closely with Quality Operations, Digital, Manufacturing, Automation, Validation, and Global Process Owners to support the ongoing advancement and sustainment of Electronic Batch Record capabilities.


HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT

  • Manage time effectively to contribute to moderately complex projects and meet agreed targets.
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight for the EBR program and its prioritized deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional work supporting EBR deployment, sustainment, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and quality oversight for the validation of automated systems, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Review and approve System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation, investigations, and change controls for enterprise Business Technology (BT) systems.
  • Support site Data Integrity (DI) programs, change controls, and conduct automated systems-related investigations and internal audits.
  • Conduct periodic security reviews, and oversee system administration for site automated systems.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance documentation for GxP and non-GxP systems adhere to good IT practices and regulatory codes.
  • Implement tools to reduce human performance-related deviations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have


  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 3+ years of experience; OR a master's degree with more than 1+ year of experience; OR an associate's degree with 6+ years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • A solid grasp of GMP, GDP, ALCOA principles, 21 CFR part 11, and PIC/s.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in facilitation and the ability to lead strategy meetings effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a regulated manufacturing, quality, technical, or digital environment.

Nice-to-Have


  • Proficiency in system development and administration, including Database Management Systems (DBMS), application implementation, and network infrastructure (network devices, servers, operating systems).
  • Expertise in IT security and web technologies.
  • Experience with laboratory systems and automated manufacturing systems.
  • Network qualification and a strong understanding of validation principles and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
