Join Our Team as Systems Administrator!
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT team supporting 100+ employees across our insurance operations. This hands-on role is primarily responsible for the reliable operation, administration, and continuous improvement of our Microsoft cloud, endpoint, identity, infrastructure, and business application environments. The position also shares responsibility for service desk tickets, desktop support, onboarding, offboarding, and end-user assistance as business needs require.
You’ll help keep our technology environment running smoothly while progressively assuming ownership of assigned platforms and services, supporting our cloud transition and Microsoft Purview adoption, and providing dependable support to employees across the organization. This role is ideal for a highly hands-on systems professional who enjoys solving complex problems, supporting users, taking ownership of technology platforms, and growing into broader IT operations responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Administer Core Infrastructure: Manage Windows server and endpoint environments, Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft 365, Azure, and related cloud services.
- Support Networks and Security: Maintain network infrastructure and partner with our cybersecurity provider to implement security recommendations, system hardening, and security initiatives.
- Manage Identity and Access: Administer user accounts, permissions, authentication systems, and access controls to ensure secure and efficient operations.
- Support Business Applications: Maintain Vertafore applications and Microsoft 365 integrations while troubleshooting application and connectivity issues.
- Provide Technical Support: Share responsibility for help desk ticket resolution, desktop support, onboarding, offboarding, and escalated technical issues for employees across the organization.
- Maintain System Reliability: Monitor system health, perform upgrades and patching, and manage backup and disaster recovery processes to support business continuity.
- Lead and Support Projects: Participate in technology projects and system implementations from planning through deployment and ongoing support.
- Document and Improve Processes: Maintain system documentation, technical procedures, and operational standards while helping improve IT processes and best practices.
- Take Ownership: Progressively assume responsibility for assigned platforms and services while supporting the organization's cloud and data governance initiatives.
What You Bring
- Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and two to four related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, and Azure administration is preferred.
- Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:
- IT Service Management certified or equivalent experience; ITIL preferred
- Microsoft certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified)
- Current Colorado driver's license and acceptable MVR
- Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:
- System Administration: Strong ability to manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
- Network Management: Skilled in configuring and maintaining network devices and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Experience administering Azure resources including virtual machines, storage, and identity services.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions and business continuity planning.
- End-User Support: Demonstrated track record of delivering responsive, high-quality help desk support. Comfortable working directly with non-technical staff across all departments.
- Problem-Solving & Teamwork: Strong ability to resolve complex issues and collaborate effectively within a small, close-knit IT team.

- Compensation: Starting base pay for this exempt position is $70,000-$90,000 annually. Pay may exceed this range for well-qualified candidates, commensurate with experience. In addition to regular pay, this position is eligible to participate in our annual performance incentive program.
