Summary:
In this role, you will provide operational and financial leadership for engagement operations across the Spend Management Business Unit, supporting GPO, Supply Chain Services, and Category Managed Services teams. You will establish a consistent operating model for project administration, financial and operational performance, risk management, value and savings reporting, and business controls across ERP and PSA systems.
You will serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders, delivery teams, finance, accounting, and other cross-functional stakeholders by translating operational and financial insights into recommendations and improvements. You will lead, coach, and develop the Engagement Operations team by establishing team structure, standard work, training, onboarding, documentation, and appropriate support coverage across the engagement lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational leadership and establish a consistent, scalable support model for the Spend Management Business Unit across GPO, Supply Chain Services, and Category Managed Services.
- Oversee project setup, maintenance, administration, reporting, issue resolution, planned end dates, milestones, and closure activities across ERP and PSA systems.
- Direct the tracking and reporting of project financials, KPIs, revenue, profitability, at-risk revenue, contingent revenue forecasts, and other operational performance indicators in partnership with finance, accounting and delivery leaders.
- Manage training, resource allocation, and operational support related to contracts, financials, profitability, and risk reporting for Engagement Operations team members and the Supply Chain and Category Managed Services teams.
- Advise senior leaders and delivery teams by translating operational and financial insights into recommendations, priorities, and improvements across the engagement lifecycle.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Engagement Operations team by establishing appropriate team structure, onboarding, documentation, standard work, and scalable coverage.
- Provide structured guidance, regular feedback, and development support to improve individual performance, build capabilities, and support the professional growth of Engagement Operations team members.
- Guide individuals and teams through operational, process, system, and organizational change by communicating direction, addressing concerns, reinforcing priorities, and supporting adoption of new ways of working.
- Set clear expectations, establish measurable goals, hold team members accountable for results, and reinforce behaviors that drive strong team performance and business outcomes.
- Evaluate and promote appropriate uses of AI tools and capabilities within Engagement Operations; identify relevant risks and controls; and support responsible adoption that improves productivity, data quality, reporting, and decision support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 7 or more years of progressive experience in professional services operations, project operations, financial operations, business operations, or a related field required.
- Experience leading teams and coordinating work across multiple business units or operational stakeholders is required.
- Experience with professional-services accounting, project financials, revenue or profitability reporting, and operational risk management.
- Experience implementing, administering, or improving PSA, ERP, CRM, or comparable business systems.
- Demonstrate understanding of AI concepts, tools, risks, and opportunities, and applies that knowledge appropriately to improve operational efficiency, reporting, decision-making, and engagement lifecycle support while maintaining appropriate business controls.
- Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.
