Summary:

The Job Captain will support the role on architectural and interior architectural projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Produce complete sets of construction documents

· Oversee support staff to ensure work is executed accurately 

· Coordinate construction documents with specifications indicating design intent

· Coordinate with consultants, contractor, and owner

· Assist on code research

· Support in processing RFI’s and submittals

· Assist in reviewing shop drawings

· Lead project-related meetings and discussions

· Provide mentorship and be able to direct work to team members

· Execute construction detailing and documentation

· Actively participate in company initiatives

Required Skills and Abilities: 

· Proficiency in REVIT (recent experience)

· Competent in AutoCAD

· Proficient in Model Building Codes & Accessibility Standards

· Ability to think critically, communicate clearly and possess the potential to develop management skills 

· Strong verbal and communication skills

· Strong problem-solving capabilities, prioritization, organization and follow through

· Agility and flexibility. Must be a team player that can handle multiple tasks

· Desire to work on all phases of a project through construction completion

Value added:

· Understanding of Bluebeam

· Working in both Imperial and Metric

Education and Experience:

· Master’s Degree / Professional Degree in architecture or interior design

· 5+ years of experience required
