Inter-Campus Courier / Mail Services Associate
Position Summary
The Inter-Campus Courier / Mail Services Associate is responsible for the daily transportation of mail, library materials, packages, and other items between campus locations in Medford, Grafton, and Boston, Massachusetts. This role requires safe and reliable vehicle operation, excellent customer service, the ability to work independently, and support of mailroom operations when not performing courier duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a company-owned vehicle between Medford, Grafton, and Boston locations on a daily basis.
- Complete scheduled inter-campus deliveries and pickups, covering approximately 100 miles round trip each day.
- Pick up, transport, and deliver mail, library materials, packages, and other campus-related items in a timely and secure manner.
- Load, unload, and move heavy packages and library shipments safely.
- Maintain delivery schedules and ensure materials are delivered accurately to designated locations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns as needed.
- Assist with daily operations in the mailroom when not performing courier duties.
- Process and meter outgoing mail using mailroom equipment.
- Sort incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service while interacting with staff across multiple locations.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing daily routes and responsibilities.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers at all campus locations.
- Follow established safety procedures, delivery protocols, and mail handling processes.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle in various traffic and weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy packages and materials throughout the workday.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Previous driving, courier, delivery, mailroom, or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
- Experience with mail processing or postage metering equipment preferred.

- Flexibility is required to support operational needs across multiple locations.
- Typical work hours will fall between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Candidates must be available to work varying schedule
