Job Description

As a Security Officer Part Time Overnight Corporate Patrol in San Diego, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional front-desk customer service by greeting visitors, employees, vendors, and delivery personnel in a professional manner at a commercial real estate location.
• Support access-control procedures by verifying visitor identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests according to site-specific policies.
• Monitor lobby activity, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems, reporting unusual conditions or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site-specific procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of visitors, deliveries, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
